Challenge

Homeowners association management has long relied on manual, time-consuming processes and scattered communication tools. These inefficiencies make it difficult to track dues, manage invoices, and maintain accurate financial records — leading to delays, errors, and frustrated communities.

Results

With over 502,000 units managed and 92% positive customer reviews, PayHOA has become the #1 choice for homeowner associations — proving that a well-designed, user-focused platform can transform a traditionally manual industry.

Design process

At PayHOA, I led product design from the ground up — aligning with stakeholders, mapping pain points, and designing the initial experience from concept to launch. I created wireframes, built a scalable design system, and ran usability testing to ensure clarity and ease of use for non-technical users.

After launching the first version, I transitioned into the role of Art Director, guiding the product’s direction and mentoring incoming designer Dima Martynchuk as he took over ongoing UX work and iteration.
